I'm looking at a back blade for my Farmall 504. Farm and country has a nice 7' but for $15 more I can get a 8' blade. What I'm concerned with is an 8' blade too much for the 46 hp tractor?

I went through this a few years back. I decided to go with a 7 ft blade because I found you can't reverse an 8 ft blade while it is on the tractor. Hitch parts and maybe the tires get in the way. The 7 ft has to be just right position before you can swing it around.

I would go for the 8 foot blade it won,t be to much for the 504. I have a 7 foot blade for my super h wish i had a 8 foot. For plowing snow you will find it alot better. I use mine to move dirt, rock ,what ever i want to . It will be wide enough to take out tractor tire tracks and still have wheels set out just alittle. Just my thoughts hope this helps.
