Makes a good combo. Farmall H and a NH68. Have run about 1500 bales so far this year. I have found I can get along with out the live power just fine. AT least till my 300 is done :-)
Its been a few years since this old girl has worked this hard. I could almost see a smile in her grill.

i bale with my 350 diesel so i do have the luxary of live pto i have baled with my H a few times like you said its not that hard once you get to know when there is to much hay headed in, its funny when i do my few fields near the main road how many people stop to see the old equipment working i usually mow with the 350 diesel ted with the H and rake with the C like i said bale with the 350 14t with a farmhand bale buncher there a handy thing when you dont have a kicker, looks like you have had same weather there weve had hereall those bales sitting on green grass been mowed for a few days well good luck

Nothing so far on the 300. I spent $600 on my Nh55 hay rake and another $300 on a secound hay rack. That about tapped me out.
I did sell my M&W hand clutch for my H. I will be putting that money into the 300.
Also have a line on selling all my hay for one money. If that comes through that will all go to the 300. So maybe soon.

That is a good lookin' rig. The old H looks proud sitting there among a field full of bales. I would like to find a baler similar to yours and bale a few square bales next year. I have a fellow that is supposed to bale some hay in large bales who has not showed up yet. I sold dad's old square baler and regret it now. Thankfully I kept the #31 sickle mower and McCormick rake so if I find a good deal on a square baler I think I will go for it. I currently do not have any livestock, but there is usually a good market for small square bales during the winter in small lots here, and I do not have the equipment to lift the large bales (yet).

Kelly, Looks good! Someone has some hay to pick up! ;-P Hopefully the picture will come up of our rig..... .M-TA and NH 269 after we rolled into the driveway of our one farm. We just finished up 1500 bales and the baler wanted more..... ..To bad the leaf hoppers ate our second cutting ;-P

WOW that brings back memories isn't it amazing how good you can get on bumping the cluch to slip it in neutrel while the baler catches up but never misses a beat. A combine or field chopper will make you even better.

Its not as hard as people think. You only need to be fast getting it out of gear. You can take your time getting it back into gear as the feeder is empty any way.
You know real fast with a 68 if you were late. I got to where I can change a fly wheel shear bolt in less that 2 min :-)
