I have a Super A (mod.FAA1, ser.#263833).The tractor has two fuel tanks (one for gasoline and one for distillate) I have never seen another like it. Were any "Super A" distillate tractors made or is this a fake. Any information on this tractor would be appreciated.

Does the engine have a water pump mounted on the block where the water flows out of the bottom of the radiator?

Dual fuel tractors were built by I-H until 1958 this makes numbered series also avail with dual fuel systems.

I have a Super A originally equipped this way. Most of those parts were removed over the years but I have found most of them again. IH didn't really track how many of each fuel configuration were made. IS your Super A an industrial or a regular Farmall? I am thinking that FAAI indicates an industrial.

Thanks for the info. The tag reads FAAI and then the ser.#. What would designate an industrial tractor other than the tag?Would they be painted the same color?Would an industrial tractor be any more collectable than a standard Super A ?

I think that the industrials had a "heavy duty front axle" easiest identified by a support going from the rear of the steering box to the clutch housing. Also think a lot of industrials had a foot throttle. They could be red. I need to do some studying but I think they would also say INTERNATIONAL on the hood instead of Farmall.

We have another Super A, and aside from the extra fuel tank and different manifold, I don't see any difference. My Dad purchased the tractor 25 or so years ago from a gentleman who claimed to have bought it new.He also claimed that it was just as it was when he bought it. Who knows? Anyway, thanks for your help. Scott
