Steve: There is all kinds of old guys like me, both sides of the border. Usually those lessons from the school of hard knocks stay with you. There is a wealth of knowledge in my age group. Where most of them fall down is they have never gained the confidence to put it on public forum, and suffer the consequences if wrong. To me, being right or wrong on these forums is not the issue. If you can instill the confidence in someone else to bring forth his or her thoughts, and in the process we come up with the right answer for guy with the question, then we have achieved something. I have been involved on forums now for close to 3 years. In the days when I first became involved, guys regularly were on here apologizing for long posts. That is not near as prevelant as it once was. If Farmall XXX has such and such wrong with it, there is no short cut to giving the guys all the info they need to access the problem and give the guy an educated answer. I like to think I had a little bit to do with changing that. I think more can be done along these lines to help tractor guys even further. This is why I always post my e mail address. I will help anyone to gain the confidence to get on here and strutt their stuff. I am not a highly educated person, I didn't finish high school. I did get accepted at an Agricultural College, where I graduated. I farmed most of my life. I did marry a school teacher who honed my skills a bit at expressing myself. I really had to sharpen up when a daughter enrolled in an honours english program at one of our major universities here in Canada. She by the way graduated with honours. She does monitor a bit of what I have to say on here as well as other places. Believe me, when I make a mistake in spelling or grammer, I get it far worse than when I tell one of you guys something wrong. What makes this Farmall board so great is the people involved. I guess Farmall tractors must do that to you. I monitor other boards some. Last Christmas Eve regular discussion on Farmall board shutt down completly and people were expressing compliments of the season to each other. That was non existant on some boards, fair on others, but no where did it come close to Farmall board. REMEMBER THIS GUYS I LEARN MORE HERE EVERYDAY THAN I GIVE.
