Anyone have any experience with fixing these? The wire on my WD-9 has been disconnected from the magneto so presumably the switch is not working. Are these easy to fix? Or should I be more concerned about getting the cover plate sealed up again?

I was just reading through the forum to get more educated and ran across this discussion. I have an MD that runs on gas and converts to diesel ok. I noticed a fitting on the forward part of the manifold that was disconnected which I took to be some kind of heater which seems like it's the switch you guys are talking about. If I hook a wire to this fitting, where does the wire from it hook up to the magneto???

The mag ground wire was gone from my MD when I got it. I used a wire from a plug wire kit as suggested below and replaced the wire, connecting to the switch in the chamber in the manifold. Ever since, the switch has worked without a problem.

I just take a wire from a sparkplug kit and rewire it.
