Bryce, I've been wondering about this for an 826 myself, and you have 06-26-56 series fenders there, so here's what I can tell you- When you turn the light switch to the first position (this position is "dim road lights")- you should have the flashers on, the headlights on dim, and one light on each fender lit dim. Switch on second position (this position is "bright road lights")- flashers on, headlights will burn bright, and the same fender lights that were on in the first position will burn bright. In the third position (work lights)- Both headlights and all four fender lights will burn bright. This is the only time all four fender lights should be on. The thing I'm not 100% sure about on the 826 is the difference between the fine-lined lights and the course-lined lights. I didn't get a chance to see which one comes on in the third position before my wiring burned up. I think that the fine-lined lights are the ones that should be on in the first two switch positions, and that's the way I've got it wired now. It sounds to me like you are putting fenders on a 1466 that used to have a cab. Look at the lights that were on the front of the cab- those are work lights- the lines in the glass should be the same as the light on the fender that needs to be on only when the switch is on the third position.
