I have a pair of 13.6 x 38 Goodyear Dyna Torque II tires that I am going to pull off of a Farmall H, and put on a new pair of Firestone Field and Road 23 degree angle tires before I restore it, just not into Goodyear tires, they are like new. I can not get any tire dealers to give me a price on trade for them, so I wondered what they are worth. Thanks !

If I were to guess I'd say 180-200 a piece. You'd probably get more if you left them on the rims and just got another set of rims for your firestones.

I thought about leaving them on the rims, and can do that, but I hate to give up my rims, they have surface rust on them, but nothing bad, even around the valve stems. This tractor has never had calcium put in its tires since new, so the rims are good. I would love to get that kind of money out of the tires, but don't think it will happen.

Are they the original size that fits an H? Where are you located and what do you need for them. I just got an H that is in good shape but the back tires are really weathered.

I don't know about your H, but this one was sold new 12 inch rims on the back, so the 13.6 is a decent size tire for it, the older Hs had 10 inch rims on them I do believe. I am in Winchester Indiana, how much do I need for them, I have not figured that out yet, I guess if someone wanted them, I could sell them mounted on the rims, if they had good rims and tubes to trade in. Just trying to get a price idea in mind, before I advertise them.

I am in Winchester Indiana, as far as the $100.00 each, I will put them in storage for that price, not trying to be a horses patoot on that. I do not need them at all, but someday I might ? These tires have only been over about 20 acres or so, I want the Firestone Field and Road 23 degree angle to do a little antique tractor pulling with, everyone says that is the way to go ?

John J,

Thirty to forty miles southwest of you, here in Hamilton County, Indiana -- Firestone is laying off Americans left and right. They are a Japanese company now - you know. Harvey Firestone is turning over in his grave.

Don't know why you don't like Goodyear -- but bear in mind, they are still an American company employing American labor.

Next time I read a post about jobs moving offshore, I'll direct them to Winchester. On the other hand, I once read a quote from no less than Mario Andretti -- saying if you can win at Winchester, winning the French Gran Prix is easy.

Steve, I like Goodyear tires, but not this tread pattern, I run Goodyear tires on most of my vehicles, I have hauled stuff out of Firestone in Noblesville, so I do know where, and what you are talking about. Winchester does not have the job base, like Hamilton co. has, even McDonalds doesn't have to advertise for help over here, we have no jobs available here. I guess that I should have made my original post a little clearer, but I didn't, I want the Firestone tires for a small amout of antique pulling, may end up with something else on it anyway, got to doing more research yesterday.
