In the early '50s, each Farmall dealer received a white demonstrator tractor to highlight its new "Touch Control" hydraulic system. Does anyone know how many of these tractors were produced? Does anyone have this tractor for sale and what would be a fair market price to pay for such a tractor? I am interested in purchasing one.

Roger,
If you would like to contact me, I have a Super A Demonstrator I had planned to restore (was repainted red). I am located in Michigan's Thumb.
Thanks, Mike

The tractors were built in the 1st quarter of 1950, touch control came out two years earlier, don't think it had anything to do with the promotion other than it was part of the tractor. I think small tractor sales were slow at that time and IH wanted to do something to make their tractors stand out from the crowd. Assumed serial numbers are: Cub, 99536-106517; Super A, 281269-285298; C, 47010-54411. As to price, most people price them at far more than they are worth. Saw a C advertised once for $10000, no idea what it sold for. As seen by the numbers produced, these tractors weren't exactly rare.
