H Head Bolt Length

All,

Just got the block back today from the shop (so purdy...) and they plucked all the head bolts off (even managed to break one, drill and tap it out). I now have a mix of long ones and short ones. Can someone point out where the long ones go? I think there are 5 of them.

Restoration of the '41 H is nearing the 1/2 way point. There is nothing left on the chassis but the rear axles, and they are coming off tomorrow so I can put new gaskets on. This was my first full bolt-off restoration. I have about 4.2 million parts in zip lock bags in the shop right now, cleaned, and ready to begin the great reconstruction project.

Thanks.

the long ones go where the throttle pivot mounts and where the head has the steel tubes cast in.

Just lay the head on the bench and stick the bolts in the holes, place them so that about 3/4 to 1 inch sticks out of the block underneath.. after changing a few around, you should be able to get the right lengths in the right holes.

I've got an H block out in the shed. I can go look later if someone else don't reply.
