Ive got a drip its comung out the very bottom of the carb where yiu replace the felt and the retainer which I did,any ideas on stuff I could try to fix this drip,other than that carb seems to function fine

If it is just a slight drip it might be the valve is not seating and may fix itself. just keep the fuel turned off. Could be float setting too. Doubt it the float is bad. when they sink you know it.

Your float is sticking, and not completely stopping fuel flow, replacing the felt and retainer had nothing to do with it -- hard to fix sometimes, I just shut off the fuel.

This can be frustrating. A couple of ideas-Recheck float height to make sure it's not letting the bowl run over.Double check the float to see it is not leaking. A tiny amount of gas in the float will make it too heavy to seat the needle tightly. Make sure the gasket is good between the seat and the carb body. Good luck...
