I have seen some B models with steering wheels on both sides of the tractor and some with double pedal set ups along on each side with the double steering linkages. What is all this about? I also saw a tractor the other day which looked like 2 b's that had been connected via axle houseings and had double steering, looked also like it might still have the narrow front end on each? It was in a pasture and looked like it was still in use. I was in a rush and didnt have time to stop at the house and get the history of it or look it over. Anyone know what this is all about? Thanks in advance. -RayA

I have one that I built. It was lots of fun to put together from extra parts that I had around. Steering only works on the orginial left side. I didn't go so far as to include brake and clutch peddles.

It is a great place for the wife to ride and be a part of whats going on. It just started out to be an extra seat for her an then I realized she didn't have anything to hold on to, so added the steering wheel. It draws lots of attention.

I guess we need to add a chain and sprocket so they can steer from the left seat. Then add the pedals so she can drive also would realy turn heads. Just another winter project to think about.

gene: You guys discussing putting two seats on a B reminded me of being at an auction this spring. Auctioneer was selling one of those small Case with the wide seat. He singled out a very slight older man in crowd and suggested that if he bought the tractor he ( the auctioneer) would find him a woman wide enough across the backside to fill the seat. The auctioneer having about a dozen or so women in the crowd regretted starting that one. They sure ganged up on him in short order.

The auctioneer may have taken a lot of heat personally, but he did get a good price for the old Case. The little guy was not the buyer.

Dave BN is not correct. Some people seem to think that A'a and B's are "cute" and make all sorts of weird modifications. I prefer the original version.

My apologies to Dave BN. It should read "Dave BN is correct" I usually don't type enough words, never added one before.

These are homemade rigs. For the most part the configuration that left the factory is the most usefull all around. Dave.
