Farmall is the rowcrop, International is the wheatland.

The Farmall is the row crop, the Internaitonal is an industrial version used mainly for highway mowing, etc. Not much difference really. Internationals will have (usually) a heavier duty front axle, foot accelerator, although some Farmalls may also have these.

I read your question again.

It really depends on what tractor your talking about, and where it was sold. Farmall and Internationals are really just names, not a hard and fast difference between tractors. From the 1920s up through the 1950s, Internationals were almost always industrial versions of tractors, sold through industrial dealers. YOu could have a Farmall M sold through an industrial dealer, for instance, that would recieve International nameplates and decals.

In the mid 1950s, IH started selling certain farm tractors under the International name. These included utility tractors, standard tractors, and wheatland type tractors. This lasted into the 1970s.

In addition, in certain overseas markets, all tractors were sold under the International name due to legal reasons.
