I got a 1965? (yellow and white) cub from my grandad with the 4' octagon shaped belly mower underneath. Is this mower made by international? Where might I get aparts list or book about it? Thanks alot -- Martin

IF YOUR MOWER IS SHAPED LIKE A STOP SIGN AND HAS DISCHAGE HOLES ON BOTH SIDES I'D SAY YOU HAVE THE SAME ONE I DO ( WOODS 42 C ) THEY WORK REAL GOOD IF YOU KEEP THE BLADES SHARP AND DON'T TRY TO GO TO FAST IN TALL GRASS SHE WILL CHOKE
OFF ON YOU

I just bought a 47 cub with the same mower. It really does a nice job of cutting. You can go to the woods website for parts and information.

What it sounds to me is that you have a Woods 42 (actually a 3-1/2' mower), by the shape of it. If it has a single pulley and spindle in the middle, and an opening to the front of the spindle to access the blades; and the blades are removed by removing a 5/16" cap screw, then pivoting the block the bolt attaches to, to expose a pin of about 3/4" diameter that retains the blades (if memory serves me correctly...sixes here are approximate); then you definitely have a Woods 42. The Woods 42 was about the ideal size mower for a Cub, if you planned to mow anything more than a slightly overgrown lawn. Under ideal conditions, the Woods 42 was like a belly-mounted bush hog for a Cub!

I think you have a C-2 mower if it has one large pulley. It was made for IH by the DANCO Co. Lots of parts including new blades are available at your IH dealer.
