Hi everyone,
I just buy a 1951 Farmall Super A, but I think something is going wrong with the radiator.

The needle on the water temperature gauge don't moves even if the temperature at the top rises up to 190 F.

I have test the gauge in boiling water and it work.

Is there something that blocks in the radiator?

The tractor as no water pump and no thermostat.

Thanks.

I have an (a) that I am restoring, basically the same as yours, I also replaced the gauge and it is normal for the gauge not to move I found out. It was a mistake on Farmalls part as far as I am concerned, They should have located the threads for the gauge at the top (hot water) rather than the bottom which is the cooled water. It is a little disapointing to put on a new gauge and never get to see it do anything. If you ever see the gauge go into the run area your tractor is hot!! You can remedy this by plugging the lower hole, and tapping and threading the upper one to fit the gauge, then you should see it do somthing.

With no water pump, water moves by convection. Your gauge is mounted at the bottom, where the water is cooler. Your situation is normal for that system.

But in owner manual it says that the needle should be on RUN, between COLD and HOT. So why the needle don't rise up? Even with a brand new gauge it stays at the buttom COLD level.

Thanks again

See the post above mine. Originally the gauge was made for distillate burning tractors that had shutters in front of the radiator to get the tractor hot enough to run on distillate (start on gas). It was an option on gas burning tractors, but as noted, the sensor is in the wrong place.
