third party image

Here is a picture of my summer project. The rig is mounted on my '48 Farmall H Wide Front. The hydraulic cylinder is borrowed from my Saginaw 3-point hitch. The black angle iron pieces are connected to the rear axle brackets. Now all I need is some snow!

I will compliment you on your work, it looks very good, but I think you will find that you built it just a little bit on the light duty side. If you hit anything solid with the blade, I think those black angle irons are going to just bend. Please don't think that I am just trying to be negative, and I am not trying to be offensive, but an H can push a lot harder than what you think.

I know it wasn't visible in the picture, but the black pieces are 3/8" thick, 2" angle iron, a little less than 9' long. There is a cross member (about 20" long) made of u-channel about half-way. Thanks for the head's up...I'll just keep an eye on them and reinforce if necessary.

I haven't got my glasses with me - I can't quite make out the model number on that green one in the background. It's a 4020, right?
Wm ;-)
