Yep, back to school, this will be the 3rd week already. Flying by just like it should. Technically I have 3 jobs plus school (family farm, another farm, and a private guy doing odds and ends!) so time goes quick, and not much time for computer.

Glad you got to pull the F-12. I don't like pulling much with my F12 or F14, they seem to run too hot for my likes - I'm not fond of thermosiphon systems.

The H didn't get much use this year as I wasn't around for haying, around 30 hours I think. I think it's up to a total of 80 hours or so since the rebuild.

I did fix up an 84 Ford Ranger this summer - only had 57,000 miles when I bought it so I figured it was worth fixing... I think it turned out OK ($300 and 3 days in the paint job). I have about $1000 in mechanical repairs/upgrades, 20 year old wiring just doesn't have insulation!

Unfortunately, me and the future mrs. need a car pretty badly. Transmissions are bad on both of ours, good thing I got the Ranger fixed up before they died...

Only have 9 credits in college this semester, 3 of which are an art class that is really easy. So school shouldn't burn me out too badly. After 4 years of 17 to 22 credits a semester it's nice to have a break.

Thanks for the compliments on the pickup, I could have done better, but as always $$ and time were pressed. Not bad for a "work" truck :o)

Mrs JAL & I bought a new PU out in RC a couple of weeks ago-a Toy-Tundra, couldn't pass up the 0%-60 month deal & they gave me about 7 grand for Henry the dorF (w/123,000 on it) sight unseen. Made the deal a couple of weeks ago & went out to get it the week before labor day. Had to take the flat out as we went to Calif. w/flat that week to get a Scout body tub for the 1980 Scout #3 Son is restoring out in Denver. Took #2 Son's 01 Dodge to Calif. Dad & all three boys went to to get the Scout tub-that trip is a long story. Ifna yer interested, I'll tell ya about it sometime.

Think we're gonna like the Toy really well. We came back on Labor day & got better milage coming from Rapid (w/less than 150 miles on it when we left) & flat bed w/Scout frame & 2 Super C Wheels & tires on it than we got w/Henry pulling the flat empty. We didn't have the OD engaged & drove at different speeds according to break-in instructions, so I think its gonna do real well when we get some miles on it. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)

Still dry, sprinkled last night a little bit, it will be dried up before noon today. Vandals think it is funny to light bales on fire now. Almost started the combine on fire the last day of harvest too, luckily I caught it while it was just smoldering.

I'm impressed with what I've heard about the Toyota Tundra's - my boss has a Tacoma w/4cyl and it is impressive for power.
