The M and SM are the same except for the front emblem. The SMTA is different.

Interesting. What is different about the SMTA Grill?

The bolster on a SMTA is the same as the 400. The SMTA grill was designed for that bolster. The holes relative to the mounting bracket are different with the M and SM 2in. apart while the SMTA is set out much wider. (not exactly sure of width) but easy to distinguish between the two.

I have a picture somewhere. Does the stage 2 Super M grille have the two large wide spaced holes for the cultivator, like the stage 2 Super H? SMTA has them.

The Super M's that have live Hydralics have 2 large holes in the grill spaced wide, like the Super MTA. Super M's without live hydralics have virtually the same grill as a M.
