third party image

Took this picture at the fair last weekend. Has any one ever seen anything like this before. Has two motors and both seem to hook to rear end. Looks like one motor drives one wheel and other motor drives other wheel.
THANKS!!!!

I've seen several variations of side by side and inline dual tractors. I always thought it would be a novel idea to take a "B" or "BN" and switch the front bolster with a "C", and make it left side operated. I once saw a 51 or 52 Studebaker that the guy put the body on the frame backwards so it looked like it was going down the highway in reverse. What people won't do to turn heads, eh?

Looks like a complete waste of two good tractors to me! All that time, energy and money and what have you got? Something that is impractical to use and difficult to sell. Sort of like putting 5,000 dollars into a 1,000 dollar car. Sort of reminds me of all the money guys used to waste on cars in high school. I hope for some reason (of which I cannot possibly convceive of) it was worth it to him.

It would be kind of cool to have one motor power the tractor and the other power just the PTO. Who says you can't have live PTO with farmall A. LOL

There were a 3 side by side just like this in Hammond, La. a couple years back. I don't remember what pulled what, but it sure was gorgeous.

How would you do any work on sides that are facing each other? I guess you would have to split them apart.

There was one like this at the Red Power Round up the last two years. I have pictures of the one from this year, and I don't think it is the same one in your picture. And..yes, one engine drives each wheel separately. All sorts of side by side configurations like this around that folks have put together. One at RPRU had three F-20 engines driving though one transmission and rear end.

I'll bet the plugs on the left engine are a bear to change, but not as bad as adjusting the carb on the right one! Bet she does not have any toruble spinning the back wheels when it hooked to something that pulls hard. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)
