What fluid for power steering 400 rc

My 400 has factory ( I was told) power steering.
Needs some fluid but not sure what to put in there.
I have loads of hytran around will that work?

If it is "Factory" it gets its oil from the hydraulic system on the tractor..... ...Which takes hytran..... ..Also since it has a loader on it and the system has seen some use I would drain the reservoir and clean the filter..... ....If it has Charlynn PS on it, with its own pump and reservoir you can use PS fluid, hydraulic fluid(Any) or hy-tran..... ....I have been around Charlynn systems to know one thing, if it isn't leaking it probably isn't working ;-D Will add more later, gotta run now!!!!

It must be after market. There is a container for fluid under the sheet metal. It must work real good as mine leaks just fine. :-)

Larry is correct. You use Hy-Tran because the factory Behlen power steering motor gets its oil supply from the hyd system. Be sure your hyd tank is where it should be on the dipstick and you are set.

Hytran is what I use and have no problems. Don't use ATF.
