la hands down will out pull out work: yes no hydralic but li did have and a pto is optional. And yes much more stylish, comfort would go to the mh or cub. You for got the allis chalmers g it will hold its own with the la (same engine as pony). A massey harris pacer might have the advantage on engine power.

Nebraska Tractor tests list the Cub 1947 weight as 1477#. The 1941 JD LA weighed 2285#. The weight difference alone would mean that the heavier tractor would have the greater drawbar pull. The difference in field work done in a day depends on other factors. Look at the JD 830 and the 4020 as examples of that.

I go along with you on the looks department, with the pony second and the JD last in looks. Never did like the looks of the L or LA
