I thought some of you might be interested in my story. My Dad bought a used ( 3 yrs old ) Super C with the quick hitch in November 1955.It was his first tractor when he went back to farming at age 37. I was 13 at the time and remember the event. When I retired 5 yrs ago I brought the old gal home and have completed an expensive restoration ( it was really junk except for the sentiment issue ). Well Dad just passed away and I found the cancelled check that he bought it with. He paid $1045 in 1955 for a late 1952 tractor. Assuming its current market value to be ~$3000 ( I probably have $7500 in it ) it has appreciated at a rate of ~2%/year over 48 yrs.At least I thought that was interesting.

what a neat piece of your family history. I am sure I would give all that and more to have the D15 Allis that dad bought new when I was 10 years old. Brings a lump to my throat just to think about it.

Cowman--We were an Allis family also. I have my Great Uncles 1938 "unstyled" WC on full steel and my Uncles 1945 WC. These tractors came out of Seneca Kansas which may not be far from you. They now reside close to Dallas and will go to my son when the time comes.Greetings Bud

I have a late 1952 Super C that Dad purchase used in 1954. It has always been garaged and has the two-way plows, mower (8 ft sicle), cultivators. I sold the manaure loader last year as I bought a new John Deere 4510 with loader, etc. I use the Super C most every weekend around the family farm. I plan to restore it over the next couple of years.

Any advice would be appreciated. I purchase new lights and an new seat. Oil pan / rear main oil leaks and hydralic leaks exist and although only minor need to be fixed before sanding painting...
