Hey, Chub, sorry I didn't see your reply right away. I am having good luck finding parts at my local IH Case store, at the local NAPA store and at a diesel shop in Houston, Texas. I got a shop manual on line (Yahoo Motorbooks) and it has both the gas and diesel versions of the b414. It shows that the generator output is 13.5 volts and gives 12.7-13.3 volts as the closing range of the regulator. Sooo, assumptions being what they are, you already have a 12 volt system. The wiring diagram also shows that it is a positive ground, no problem there, lots of military equipment use this, but it does seem to be backwards. One other place to look for parts is the Mahindra tractor dealer, check their web page for the closest one. The b414 was the model for their first tractor and lots of the parts are interchangable, and cheaper. I haven't tried this yet, but it is another resource. Me, I'll just be using my b414 with a mower and as a general service tractor on our little ol' place. It's kind of rough, but a tough little tractor. Hope your restoration works out well and your dad gets to see the end result. By the way, I'm jealous about the power steering. Good Luck, Joe.
