Do you guys have any suggestions of SAFE ways to support the tractor while I remove the rear wheel to replace an axle seal? Like to hear how you do it.
If it matters, its a 300 rowcrop with NF.

One of the handiest things I have in my shop is a big chunk of wood from the oak tree we had to remove from the front yard. It is about 20 inches in diameter, and stands about 20 to 24 inches tall. I can jack up the rear of my tractors, slide this thing under the drawbar, and let the tractor back down, it will sit there solid as a rock and I can do anything I want to that tractor and it will not even wiggle.

Jim, I do something like Old suggested, doing Farmall H's. I block the drawbar support structure so that it could hold the weight of the tractor then I leave the jack in place. I usually use two jack stands under the drawbar frame. I've had some real fun getting rear wheels off. had to put a hydraulic jack between the rear housing and the axle clamp even when I had the bolts out of it...be carefull and good luck ...Mike in Exeter Ontario

For something like that I put it in my shop and lift it with my chain hoist. If you don't have one I'd jack it up and place blocks under it in at least 2 places plus leave the jack under it. hope this helps
