Jerry,
I alsmost has gold pistons, I have one of those on LP and mine is a little rarer than thiers. His price is still way too high and what is bad is he will find himself a fool in time and probably get it. Yuppies are doing the same things to classic tractors that they did to cars, which is putting them out of everybody elses range.

Don't get me going on those friggin' yuppies. They come up here from Jersey and the city and buy up the old farms trying to be a "farmer". "I'm gonna milk me some cows now! I'm a farmer cause I have a tractor" Then they find out how much work can be involved and sell out, sell the land for development and sit back like they did before where they came from. I hate 'em.

Don't be so hard on them guys. I'm hoping that when my knees and back are too shot to do this anymore, one of those rich wannabe farmers is going to come along and make us millionaires.

Riverrat,
Exactly my point! They do the same thing to whatever is hip at the time, old cars, tractors, FARMS. Then when it becomes a chore they bale out and a new subdivision sprouts up where a beuatiful farm once was bringing city people who are "hunters" and the damn ATV riding kids. Most of them have never worked a honest day in thier lives, physical work that is.

My favorite is the yups that buy a small amount of land, buy a couple of horses and a tractor and they are "farmers". They register their trucks as Farm Trucks, buy garbage for those stupid horses at Tractor Supply as Ag use avoiding tax, write off who knows what on their yearly taxes as Farm expense. I see Suburbans driven by soccor moms full of their snot nose kids with Farm tags on them. Yeah them people are really contributing to Agriculture with their useless horses aint they?

I know I started this about the $9500 SMTA, but a thought just hit me. What if the guy loves his tractor and his wife told him to sell it. He says O.K. to passify her, but prices it so high no one will buy it! Win win for him. Naw, the yuppy thing is more than likely it. I wonder if the tires have seen REAL mud. Not the stuff the street cleaner left against the curb! I can imagine the guy calling the family out to watch him use the TA as he crawls through "mud".
