I've seen one guy selling a F-20 tractor in the ads. He gave two prices one price was with the duck bill the other was with out. Now I see another ad for, "Duck bill F20 steering boster with frame rails". So I must know, what is a Duck Bill? And are they only on F-20 tractors or are they one other tractors as well? Did you need it or is it just an option.
Carl

The photo on the left is the early open gear steering of the regular. The center photo is the "duck bill" steering, which is still pinion and sector steering like the open steering, but enclosed to keep junk out of the gears. The photo on the right is the worm and sector enclosed and oil bathed steering on F20, and later tractors.

the duckbill front was a little rare cuz they were only built for a year or two. Me, I don't realy care but I suppose if I had one I would want another.

A "Duckbill" describes the shape of the top of the steering bolster. The early F-20 and F-30 (and possibly others)used this mechanism which is basically an enclosed Regular steering mechanism. It had the same "Thumb Breaker" problems as the Regular and probably was replaced "In the Field" by some owners to save their thumbs.
