my a will collect a small amount of white oil in the cavity of the drain plug if the oil is drained cold. Normaly the whitish looking oil is a sign of water getting into the oil. The level in the radiator has never gone down any, could this small amount of contaminated oil be from condensation ?

I agree - you're probably seeing just condensation. If your tractor runs lightly loaded in cold weather, condensation is bound show up when you drain the crankcase.

Condensation can be reduced/eliminated by using a winterfront in cold weather. Don't have a winterfront? An empty plastic feed bag wrapped over the grille and held in place with a couple of bungees will work fine.

If it is just a little surrounding the drain plug then it is probably just the result of condensation. If you were to pull off the valve cover you would probably have some of the same coating on the inside of the valve cover. My C looked like that when I pulled the head off. A lot of this results in us running the tractors for a short period of time and not letting the motor get good and hot (warm). We just pamper them too much these days. If you were leaking much water from the cooling system it would probably turn all of your oil milky. Had an old pickup that did that. Not a fun thing to deal with.

Thanks for your input and I like what I heard, being as I had a he** of a time getting the headgasket to seal on this engine. It really hasent had any load at all just idling in the garage. Thanks again for your help, I am now releived that I dont have a headgasket problem.
