D264 Gas start Diesel Engine

I have a 1956 W400 And a 1953 SWD6 both with the D264 Gas start Diesel my question is about the diesel injection pumps they both look similar but the W400 has a IH mould on the casing the SWD6 has an A mould on the casing What is the diffrence, between these pumps thanks in advance Eric..

The IH pumps are better because you can adjust more fuel at the top of the plunger. All pumps are interchangable from the MD through 650D.

The 400 has a type B pump (they have the IH logo) the SWD 6 has the type A pump. Both pumps are IHC built and can be interchanged with a bit of plumbing.

IHC used two types of pumps their own IH or the Bosh.Not much dif. two different builders.
