hey guys I was wondering what to pay for a good set of used 12"x30" rims for a W-6 McCormick Deering. I will place a add. I just wanted a good idea of what they cost. I have called local salvage yards and they dont have anything on hand.

Just sold a rim for aW-6 about a month ago. With a 50% tire I got $100

Seems like I bought a set of rims for an H (38") for $75 per rim several years back. That may of been cheap but the rim's weren't exactly the same. One must of been old style and one new style or something because one of them had an extra curve in it inbetween the curve for the clamps and the bead curve. Didn't notice it untill after I painted them and had tires mounted. Wished I would of caught it before. W-6 rims might be a little harder to find, thus worth a little more money when you find them. W-6 is not a common tractor in my area. Salvage yards ussually will part with stuff as long as they are able to put a little profit in there pocket, so I would think a salvage yard would be the cheapest place to pick them up. Just a matter of finding them. Shipping on something like that ussually makes those ones you find just down the road that are priced higher, worth the money. Otherwise look in salvage yards in area's where the W-6 is common.

Check with Miller Tire, they sell new rims. It will give you an idea of what a used rim should be worth. I used to think anything used should be 50% of new, but with things like they are today, 75% might be more realistic.
Miller Tire has a website, might be a link to them from YT. Otherwise, do a google search.
