Seems their is never any action on this site from people living in the west, especially Northern Calif. Am I the only guy in the state with an interest in these machines? Hard to find any parts .

John I live in NCal and I don't think you will have much luck finding parts for older model tractors in this locale. Value Bilt and Walts tractor parts have most items needed. Also yesterdays Tractors is a good place to start. Hope this helps you some.

John,
I know how you feel I live 65 miles NE of Sac. When I read this board it makes me want to move to the midwest! But for now I have to settle for living vicariously through those lucky people.

I thought the same a couple of years ago.... If you dig long and deep you'll find we/N.Cali has plenty of enthusiasts and parts for Farmalls. Sac, Stockton, Manteca, Modesto, Turlock, Merced, Fresno.... you get the idea.

John, I know exactly what you mean I'm down in central Cal and can't wait to get back east where the farmals are thick. I have an H in Arky and will be moving soon, I am constantly looking and talking to people here who have farmals, but seems like mostly M's or bigger and they want a fortune for parts. I have an 8n here and that seems to be tractor of choice in California. I love both old tractors but can't wait to get H decked out. Keep your head up ! Merry Christmas

John this is just an observation that I made as a tourist travelling through Oregon and Northern California(Eureka)...since these areas enjoy very mild winters, I saw an absence of haying equipment and tractors..not to say they don't exist there but cattle can pasture year round so it seemed to me there were less..I'm sure there are tractor buffs too and specialized equipment for market gardening ..... . There is a large tractor wrecker at Corvallis Oregon up near Portland that is in your range for parts, they carry new and used..I bought a set of front wheel weights for an H there and brought them all the way back to Ontario..Mike in Exeter Ontario

I live in the Willamette Valley (50 inches of rain, no snow, every year). While it is true that we don't have as much old iron as other places, it is also true that we have to keep it covered up most of the time so that time and weather don't take it away from us.
I really enjoy the trips we take to eastern Oregon and Idaho. That is where the machinery sits out so rubbernecker tourists like me can see and dream about it.
I'll admit that sometimes I feel like I'm the only one in the valley with an old Farnmall in his garage.
