I HAVE A 1967 INTENATIONAL DISCEL 6 CYLINDER WITH FRONT LOADER AND 3 POINT HITCH EVERYTHING WAS WOOKING FINE BRAKES AND ALL HYDRAULICS IN FACT WE PUT UP ABOUT 100 ROLLS. HOWEVER WE NOTICED THE HYDRAULIC FLUID LOOKED MILKY SO WE CHANGED THE FLUID AND FILTER AND REPLACED NEW FLUID. NOW IT TAKES ALL THE STRENGTH TO APPLY THE BRAKES. IS THEIS A CERTAIN WAY TO BLEED THE LINES. BY THE WAY I BELEIVE IT'S A 607. I KNOW THE HYDAULIC PUMP SETS UNDER A PLATE AT THE REAR OF THE ENGINE. ANY SUGGESTIONS ? IT'S FEEDING TIME NOW AND WE REALLY NEED HELP. THANK YOU (KEN HARRIS)

If it is a 706 and everything works but the brakes there are two possibilities I am thinking you should check.First you said the fluid was millky, that would be water in the fluid.Has the temperatuer droped dramatically which whould cause this water to freeze up the valve or brake piston, and second all fluid to the brakes has to pass through a metered orfice which is located in the inlet fitting in the brake valve. If that orfice is pluged with dirt or metal your supply to the brakes would be shut off and you will have no power assist but you should still have manual brakes.

Realy should known what tractor you are talking about. But if it is a 706 hard to believe the brakes are the only thing that is effected, you did not say anyting about steering and TA if it is a 706 it has 2 pumps and the one under the operator deck on the left side will not efect the brakes. The pump in the TA housing on the left side is for the brakes TA and steering. When a person changes the filter and oil as you did and somthing like this happens I fround most of the time the pump is getting bad and will not prime it's self, so you may need pump.

That would be a 706 I would think The first thing you need to find out is how much pressure you have at the remotes should be at least 1500 PSI. If you don't you have two possibilitys the pump is bad or the relief valve is bad. You said the oil in it was milky looking, water in oil or 90wt gear grease ???. could be someone put 90wt in for more pressure??

Hello Ken Harris, --- 26 / Dec. / 2003 ---

There should be a place down near the brakes to bleed the air out of the brakes. It would take 2 people to do this operation / one person to work the brake pedals and a second person to bleed the air out of your system (like the brakes on your car).

Happy Hollidays, Milton

Checked my manual, bleeder is located on brake cover housing, right behind brake pedals. May have to bleed a few times during the day to get it perfect. if loader and steering work, not a pump problem.
