I posted a picture in the "tractor picture" section and need help finding out what it is. The ID plate is missing. It has what appears to be high crop wheels (9x42). I believe it to be a super C with a fast hitch. Thanks for the help.

Roger,
It appears to be a high crop cane tractor. I saw one just like it in Louisianna several years ago. Looks like a C to me. I would say it is pretty rare. I have been interested in old iron for years and its the only other one I have seen.

I have seen a picture of a C/Super C in one of my books, I don't remember if it was a conversion or factory, parts aren't listed in my C parts book. I think those are 42 inch rims not sure -- the rims and extensions are supposed to be silver. the conversion was for tobacco or cane, I believe. The large single front would be similar to those found on the cotton picker tractors (H/M). Did make a C cotton picker tractor? -- if so those parts are listed in the cotton picker book.

It's a C. The only mfg that I can think of that has 9X42 rims would be (I am going out on a limb here) a JD BWH Or a BWH 40...BUT that may have been 40" rims...Did an H or M IH even come with that small 9" rim?...AC

Would this be a factory thing or perhaps a dealer conversion?

Definitely a Super C and at 5'5" 250lbs I would need the fast hitch to raise me up so I could get on it.

i looked through some books just a moment ago are those perhaps the wheels for a AV? they look as if they where tall enough but the avs weights blocked the rim so i couldnt see and the front single wheel perhaps off a bn?

super C: AV rear wheels would only have been 36" these are 42". I doubt that anyone was making 42" wheels at time of SC manufacture. Front wheel to me looks like rather heavy equipment on a SC. I just wonder if it may be from an H or M and is a conversion. Just my thoughts, if someone has a better idea, I will gladly bough out, as quite frankly I don't know for sure.
