I am trying to renew a Farmall H (Just sold my Ford Jubillee because the H is a better tractor). I need to replace the water pump belt but I can't get the waterpump pulley to turn to release the tension on the belt. I have sprayed break free on the pulley, and lossened the one jam screw also. I cant figure out how to hold the hub from turning and still turn the outsde part to adjust the tension. Any ideas? Thanx for your help!

PATIENCE. :)

As inexpensive as belts are, I would cut the old one off. Then remove that jam screw and shoot lots of penetrate in that jam hole. That will spread around the threads. Don't pound too hard on that adjustable flange pulley. They will break.

You just think the H is a better tractor then the Jubilee.

better tractor is probably the wrong term, the H is a REAL tractor.

No? Well I think the Jubilee would be easier to mount and dismount. Especially when old art is hangin around.

I've had H's, and if I had one today I would gladly trade one for a Jubalee--- my neighbor took a cutting torch and put heat on his IH pump ring, just enough to heat it but not enough to set the belt afire and it losened it so it could be adjusted. do it quickly.
