Kurt, if your serial number falls in the 200,000 region then your Cub was built sometime between 1957 - 198231 to 204388 and 1979 when the last Cub Serial number 253685 was built. If your Cub is a 51, then the serial number should fall somewhere between 121454 and 144454. Hope this helps.
