I emailed him and told him it was a nice tractor,i sure would like one like it. He said that one of his other tractors needed a tire so he took it off the 650 and put it on.He said if someone were to by it he would put it back on.

Why do you bother to crap on the guy on here, click on his e mail, I'm sure he will let you know where the front wheel is. Truly ridiculous, that is where you fit.

I agree with Hugh. Ads are not there for the discussion guys to crap on. Guys are trying to sell their wares. It's up to the buyer to judge. If you crap on sellers they may lose a sale. It doesn't matter what may seem wrong with the ad. If you had a machine up there, would you want others to crap on it? Positive comment or no comment should be the rule. I see a lot of guys crap on price, but they are not the ones with the money and labor invested.

Lee: Over the years I have noticed a few photo as well as classified adds certain items either missing or incorrect. Whether I an interested in the tractor or not, I write a nice letter advising them of what I see. 90% of the time I will get a return mail thanking me for pointing out the discrepancy. Usually these are someone settling an estate, not know exactly what they are dealing with. I see also quite often someone that bought a tractor he changed his mind on or lost interest in. You don't fault the guy for that. Most people don't want to be misleading the buyers. I rather suspect they are the ones that never respond. I do keep a list of who they are, and yes they are repeat offenders.

That's a respectful approach. And most are probably inclined to listen and correct it. I know I would.

Photo Ads,

Why don't you buy it and see how complete it is. Just because there isn't a front tire in the pic doesn't mean he doesn't have one for it! Give the guy a break!!!!! !!!!! !!

It is complete. On this model the left front wheel was a dealer added option. One reason you see so few of them around. And another reason not to let 'Sales' dictate to 'Engineering.' Cost isn't everything.

Reminds me of the photo ad for a completely orginal 1955 Farmall 300. It had a poor 350 paint job.

Jon, It was very common for 300's and 400's to have had the grill and side panel painted like the 350's and 450's. The paint shops at dealerships would paint that scheme on request. It is in no way a misrepresentation of the tractor to see it painted that way.

If it's been repainted, It's not completely original.

Brian, If it were repainted all red, it still wouldnt be completely original. After the first muffler replacement, it is no longer original. If you read the original thread, the word was "complete", not "completly original". The gist of the responses here were that a nameless person was complaining "HERE" that the tractor was advertised as complete, but a wheel was missing in the picture. Perhaps the tractor is indeed complete, but at the time the picture was taken the wheel wasnt mounted on the tractor. His concern should not be addressed here before he has at least E.Mailed or contacted otherwise the seller for an explaination. Carping here won't settle the dispute if any.
