My father bought this tractor brand new and i have owned it for 35 years, i have always worked on it myself and have always been able to figure out any problem until now, it keeps blowing the hydrulic pump seal and filling the crankcase with hydralic oil,any help would be greatly appreciated.

Had the same problem---took the pump off and put all new o-rings in--I had no previous ex perience at this --did it 3 years ago -use it all the time --no leaks--less than 50 bucks repair

Would it be possible to put a "speedy-sleeve" on the shaft? If so,contact to your nearest bearing supplier, they probably have what you need. It's much cheaper than a $500 pump!

John, I believe the Super C has the same pump arrangement as my Super A. The helical gear that is driven by the govenor gear, which in turn drives the shaft going into your hydraulic pump has an o-ring on that shaft. The o-ring eventually wears a spot in that shaft allowing the hydraulic oil to pass into the crankcase via the timing cover. If you can find a nos shaft along with new o-rings I think that would solve the problem. Hope this helps. Case IH sells a rebuiuld kit for the touch control. Were in Vt? Im in East Wells Vt.

I have the exact same tractor. Is it physically "blowing" the seal? My first guess it that the pump shaft has become worn at the seal, allowing oil to pass by it.
