First I'm new to this page I hang out most of time on the forbitten page any way I've been thinking about buying My Fatherinlaw a F20 which is what He grew up on .But I know nothing about the tractor so I would like someone to tell Me the difference between a F20 and a F12 and why some of the are gray in color .

The f12 has adjustable rear wheels that slide on the axel. f20 and regular are non adjustable except to reverse the wheels. Lots of parts still available. should make a good project. let us know if you need help.

The f-20 has 16.12 drawbar hp and 24.13 belt hp.
The f-12 has 12.31 drawbar hp and 16.20 belt hp

As you can see by the hp ratings the 20 is bigger, higher off the ground and a bit stronger.
The farmalls made until nov 1 1936 were battleship grey, after that they were painted red. Some guys painted there tractors red to make them look more modern if they were grey. Our f-20 was made july 30 or 31 of 1936, so it should be grey, we will restore it soon; back to the original colour. If you buy the f-20 than ask nebraska cowman to find the year and month it was made, he has got a production list for the 20's. hope this helps.
