I want to say THANKS to all the suggestions about the hydro pump,,it works fine now. I have searched the site for a information on the air fiter canister and cleaning. have found various suggestions, most dealing with the 8 or 9N's.
My question: Is the air canister cleaned as a unit or is it made to take apart to clean? I have a shop manual but nothing in there about the canister.
John

John, Do you mean the oil bath on the bottom of the air cleaner or the dirt collector on the outside of the hood? The oil bath can be cleaned with solvent and re-oiled with 30W oil. The clear dust collector on top can just be removed and blown out with air.

Thanks Ivan, I had to run a new choke cable and I saw what you are talking about. We work the tractor, but we just picked it up late last summer. Using it for snow now.

John, The mesh part shouldn't be dirty, but if it is you can remove the complete assy. with 2 bolts and clean it out in a solvent tank. Ivan
