I've been told they are IH plows from the mid 60's. I'm trying to find spare points and moldboards while they're still around. Anyone have a model # for them? They have a part # on the coulter casting. It looks like an IH, then a long, but not legable #. Any clues? I've already posted them on "Help Identify" Thanks for any help. John

I read everyone's posts and I am now going to add a new demension. I believe it is a Cockshutt plow with I-H coulters...I have the dead ringer to it and I thought it was pure I-H until I was cleaning it up to paint it. As I was sanding the frame some decal started coming up through a former paint job.."Cockshutt"..the frames are identical but Indydirt farmers has a different molboard and point..again this confirmms to me that I-H coulters, molboards interchanged easily on the Cockshutt plow and because they were likely more readily available lots of farmers did some genetic altering. The adjustment lever is identical to mine as well, but it is the frame that defines it. I haven't got a picture of mine to post and its under 4' feet of snow right now!!!.....Mike in Exeter Ontario

Can't tell you what kind it is but you might be able to help me. How did you get the picture to come up in your request? I have an old plow I am also trying to get identified and would like to post it also.

I'm inclined to think it may be MF. The top link bracket looks like one I saw on a MF not too long ago. That doesnt necessarily make it so, however. While you may have to remove a share to match it up, I'm sure you can find a match with not much trouble. Shoup, or even TSC may be a starting point. YOu can always take a picture to your IH dealer or MF dealer to help identify exactly what you have. I have a feeling that for all the words I wrote, I didn't say much.

I have a Massey Ferguson that looks VERY similar. The tower for the toplink is very similar, mine does not have the lever to adjust the lower link pins though. The part of the plow that connects the bottoms to the beams looks exactly the same. I would put my money on that being a M-F plow.

I just went through an IH plow parts book I have from that era. The only plow IH built without the box beam across the top was the 309, but the 3 point hookup is completely different from your plow. To me your plow bottoms look like IH Super Chief, your coulters look like not IH and the 3 point looks like MF. Just maybe the whole plow is MF.

The red one might be a MF .. or it could be a repainted Ford. An IH plow? I do not really think so. I agree with Hugh.

The way i look and can see, it looks like the regular 3 bolt throw away share that is still being used. If it is a 16 inch cut than it would be a 3 bolt, if a 18 in. than 4 bolt share. They got numbers underneat. I think IH doesn't make plow shares anymore and moldboards either, they use them from Wise, I think is how it spelled.

those are IH coulters but I think they predate your plow. are you sure it is an IH plow? should be easy to find numbers on the back of the moldboards.

Hi, it looks like an IH 3pt 3 furrow plow that we had in the 60s. I can't remember the model number other than C2? or C3? something. It has the high speed bottoms with the trip beam feature. The only thing that looks different than the one we had is the support frame for the top link. The one we had, had this frame made out formed steel 3" wide by 1/2" thick and it had a support brace bolted just under where the top link is connected running all the way to the rear of the plow.

The last time I was in TSC I saw, pionts, land slides, etc for these IH plow bottoms.

I don't think there should be a problem finding parts for this plow. My brother has an IH auto reset and it basically has the same bottoms.
