This is my greeting to all the lonly and hurting out there who may not have anyone to send them a Valentine this year.

Of all the things that's ne'er been said, of all that's good and true,
of Why we live our lives each day,
What have I done for you?

Have I been there to lift you up,
when you've felt so all alone?
Have I took the time to send a card
or call you on the phone?

Have I took an interest in your plans and little schemes?
Did you feel I realy cared,
or was it all for me?

I, I, and all I care about, and trod upon all else.
Is that the way I live my days?
Is that the way I help?

I want to be a better soul,
I want to lend a care,
To be a mutual faithful friend,
The lighter load is shared. Howard H Raymond 2004

How were you able to copy that to the forum? I have a couple of such things I think you might find to be of interest if I understood how to post them.

Cowman: Like many of the others you did surprise me a bit with those lines. I somehow didn't quite picture you as being a gentleman with that degree of refinement. Right away with a handle like Nebraska Cowman, I tend to picture you as a rugged, rough and tumble individual.

Happy St. Valentines Day Cowman

I am very impressed. The Nebraska Cowman is evidently a man with more refinement and culture than I would have thought, after all, he does hang out here with us.

I hope you don't mind a little humor. I liked it so well I'm gonna hang it on my office wall for a while, with the authors name underneath. Thanks. SGT K

Cowman, that's a real nice poem. Yesterday we had our furnace inspected and it was shot, they got a new one in and running in 6 hours. When Barb and I got up this morning we wished each other a Happy Valentine's day and declared to each other that the "New Furnace" was our Valentine's present to each other...warm and in love in Exeter Ontario...Mike PS The furnace was 38 years old..had Barb longer than that...

Mike: You almost make that sound as though you and your good better half didn't need a furnace in the beginning. You and Barb have a happy Valentines Day. Certainly a better day yesterday for furnace breakdowns than tonight sounds as though it may be.

Mike, Some gifts from one lover to another radiate warmth in traditional as well as not so traditional ways. You are now on record as stating that Barb has outlasted at least one furnace. Here's hoping that your new furnace has a long effective lifespan and that you and Barb may have this mornings conversation at least once again.

Cowman, I told the Missus that I had gotten her something red, beautiful, and expensive for St. Valentine's day, and she said "Oh no, not another Farmall"

Paul: So you went out and bought the Farmall 100. You will have the most snow free driveway in the State of Michigan. Then you may be as lucky as my son in law in Halifax, bought a new snow blower in Oct. and has only used it once to date.

Hugh, No I didnt buy the 100. I had every intention of buying it it was posted here in the photo ads. It was listed by Tim Grey in Georgetown, Ohio, and had a price tag or $1,800 includint fast hitch and cultivators, or so the ad stated. I phoned the Tim, as he had posted his phone number as well as his E.Mail address, and got about 4 words out before I heard "click". I thought OK, we got cut off, I'll try again. Phoned again, and didnt get the first 4 words out that time before I was hung up onagain. I E.Mailed the guy to give him the benefit of the doubt as to the "lost phone connection" but haven't heard a word. I don't know of the guy had sellers remorse or if it had been sold or what. I do feel that it was rude if that was the case to just hang up. It doesnt take but a second of the other guys nickle to simply say that the tractor was sold or no longer for sale. Bottom line, I had the cash in hand and would have bought the tractor, but it wasn't to be.

Paul: Odd way to handle a sale, even if the guy had changed his mind, he could have said so, or at least lied to you and said it was sold. Maybe he has the opposite problem from most guys, maybe his wife didn't want him to sell tractor, and she was maning the phone. He may find in future not a lot of people will respond to his adds.
