Hey guys, I just went to look at a super M.. good paint, good tin, precleaner, narrow front, tired very good, has rear light and some makeshift front lights. Also has a toolbox bolted onto side frame. Was supposed to have run when parked a year ago, now it turns over but doesnt run. Owner said it was making noise when parked like it might have spun a bearing or had something wrong with one of the cylinders. It has been converted to 12volt and gas tank is a bit rustyb but had gas coming out of carb like it was flooding... the asking price is 800. Should I jump on this or let it pass. Located in OK. Has belly pump and belt pully also..serial # is f23784j...thanks ahead for comments. RayA

Make dahm sure that the moter doesnt have antifreeze in the oil. Or vise versa oil inh the antifrezee. Crack the valve were the antifreeze drain plug and if a little oil come out then you have a problem M and H models are know for that. Make sure you check it before you buy the trcator.

With good tires and since the engine is not stuck, it is worth $800 here in Maryland.....easily. Offer him a little less and see what he says. Don't wait too long, someone else might come with the cash!!

Ray,from your discription,I'd say go for it.With a rebuild, you would have $1800. in a good looking tractor. Then again, you could offer $500 and then go up from there. You never can tell,he might come down.

Ray if you are needing a Super M in Ok, we have one near Lawton that runs great (under 500 hours on motor), great tires (85%or more), needs paint, 12 volt, belly pump, factory LPG, serial F-29691CJ will take $1800.00 and let you hear it and see it work. Kevin

Super M in good condition is worth about $1500. It will cost you about $1000 more or less for the engine work if you do it yourself -- so I agree with the others, $500.

Ray: Of course you should, from your description, not stuck and a Super M. By all means get out your check book, before someone else gets their's out.

Hows the tires? figure that if they are good say 75% or better thats $300-$500 and then the rest is gravey. I'd offer $500 and see what happens, you will probably need a rebuild on the engine/ carb etc so your looking at $1000 to get it up right then theres paint.

If I wanted one I think $500 would be a decent buy for the shape its in.

Ray, sounds a bit high if it has a noise in the engine, but at least he told you it had a noise. Offer him 600.00$for it, that 200.00 saved will help with high price of an overhaul. Either way its your money so have fun! My 2cents, Andy
