Hey, y'all.
Worked my SA some today and was real happy with how she runs. Unfortunately, my work was cut short by a frozen fan shaft. (It was on its way out-- the thing looks pitiful from someone having pulled one pulley apart with a jaw puller, etc.) Looking at the parts manual, Can the shaft be removed from the fan/hub/thrust washer by holding the fan and wrenching in the 13/16" hex part of the shaft? It looks like if the shaft is removed, the fan and hub will come out without removing the radiator and shroud. Alternatively, has anyone tried removing it by first removing the water outlet/fan bracket from the engine?

I'm gonna call IH-Case and our salvage yard tomorrow. Does anyone know of another good source for these parts?

I had to put one on my Super C last summer.The radiator and shroud do need to come off. I bought an after market one at our local bone yard for around $60.
