Hello Kevin. I have an original operators manual on the I.H. 560. Please let me know if this is of interest to you. Thankyou. Robert.

Kevin,

They were a really nice tractor in their time, and many of them are still working on farms. The diesels are a lot cheaper to run than the gas models.

There aren't a lot of new features on newer tractors that aren't on the 560 - just refinements.

You can do a search on tractor buying articles on this website. You can probably find articles specific to the 560, too. One special thing about 560's - the early ones would/should have had a rear end bearing upgrade and that would be indicated by a stamped triangle on the serial number tag.

Where are you in Missouri? I am in the middle.

You can still buy a good running 560 in most areas for about $2500-$3000. Sometimes even less if you hit the right auction. The diesel will run a lot cheaper, but is a real bear to start in cold weather. I think it all depends on what you plan to do with it, if you should get a diesel or a gas 560. A wide front is a real plus on a 560 and the fast hitch can be handy at times.
