I have a 1932 Regular with a F4 mag on it and switching over to an E4. Does that affect the governor in any way?

What kind of F-4 mag do you have? There are two kinds. A early F-4 with E4A automatic impulse and a later F-4 with F-4 automatic impulse. The one will not bolt in place of the other ( one is shorter than the other ) I'll post a picture of the F-4 with E4A automatic impulse to the left in "parts & pieces". Also there are two different E4A magnetos, One with automatic impulse and one with manual ( set it every time you start the engine ). Is it possible that your tractor has a F-20 engine?

Tried to post the picture but couldn't, so I found it already in "parts & pieces" (I'd put it there a long time ago) Just type in "Mid 30s International Engines" in the search window of parts & pieces and hit go -- Walt

A critical bit of infoe Walt. Thanks! I did up an F-12 last year and as it was an early model, I tried to fit an E4A mag to it. Much to my surprise, they don't bolt right up as you say. Might save someone else a bit of change anyway! Zak
