Started off just trying to change the fan belt. Broke four screwdrivers... and now I've got the radiator off. My question is; now that I've gone this far, is there any other maintanence I should perform? And also, where should I look for parts? I plan on replacing the rubber radiator hoses and both belts and having the radiator checked out. Anything else I should do?
Last year I changed the timing belt on my wifes voyager and after I finished, I went to change the water pump and realized that it was staring me in the face under the timing cover. Boy was I mad.

Thanks for the info. I'd hate to do all this work twice. Can you tell me if the main belt and hoses are available at say NAPA, or are they dealer parts? I'm getting prices of around $120 just to boil out the radiator and solder any holes which may result.

NAPA carries the belts you need. I generally get them at the Case/IH dealer as they have them on the slelf and I don't think the cost is much different. Sure is nice to have new belts tho.

The only thing that I can tink of is to be sure the ring that tightens the fan belt operates well. While everything is apart it is a good time to loosten it up and have it work well for the next time that you change the fan belt.

If you do what you say that is about it. The fan belt is easy to change. All I do is unplug the coil wire. I next get a small pipe wrench to grab the crankshaft with and then I start the belt off the pulley with a screw driver turning the pipe wrench as we go. Reverse procedure to put it on.
