I am looking at buying a 1964 farmall 504. It has a hitch on the back which is controlled by two levers to the right of the seat. One of the levers says light..... ....heavy. I don't remember what the other says. Is this enough information to tell me what type of hitch it has and how hard it will be to find implements to attach to this hitch? thanks for any input. Also the hydraulics are very noisy, from what I read this appears to be somewhat normal? thanks

The Light-Heavy is your draft control lever. The other is your Raise-lower for the 3 point. Unless someone has changed it over to a fast hitch setup you can hook into any cat 1 and I think maybe cat 2, 3 point impliment.

As far as noisy hydrolics mine aren't all that noisy. Check the filters! Their is a good chance they may be plugged and starving the pump. Do the hydro's work alright? Or are they just noisy?

Thanks for the info. What do they mean by draft?

The hydraulics seem to work fine, they are just noisy. If the pump is bad is it a big job to change it?

I have never had much experience with the "square front" farmall but the "light-heavy" lever sounds like a draft control lever, so I would say it has a 3-pt. but like I said I've never had any experience with the square fronts.
