my 100 sprung a leak, it looks like it is leaking around the bottom pully at the crank and is running down the front of the oil pan in center of motor. I suspect some kind of a seal, looks like it might be a big job. any idears any body. Jeeper

Hugh brought up a good point. You might check your hydraulic fluid level. I think that is why I had to do the last front seal I did. The o-ring in the hydraulic pump failed and overfilled the crank case then I developed a leak on the front seal. That Mr. Mckay,it's hard to get anything past him.

If is the front seal, It will mean removeing the radiator, fan, crank pulley, timeing cover and the seal. I have not done this in a while so I might have left something out.

jeeper: It is quite a job as the entire front has to come off tractor in front of engine. Then the crank pulley must be pulled as it is pressed on. This pulling requires care, and you should post that one as a specific question. I have never done it however several on here have.

When you get this repaired, remember the most common cause of this failure is over filling with motor oil. I run all my offset Farmalls, never closer than 1/4" to and below the full mark. I never add oil until below the add mark. Most engines will do this to some degree, but the C-113 and C-123 are especially prone to seal failure both front and rear, if too full of oil.
