Still having trouble reconnecting the Farmall 100 hydraulic system.

1)Should the large top pistons move freely with no fluid in the unit and nothing connected to the rockshafts? The bottom ones that connect to the touch controls move freely.

2) When reconecting the attachments to the rockshaft should the large pistons be all the way out or in? Touch levers forward back?

About to just leave the hydraulics off and use the tractor as a golf cart.....

Thanks
Mike

If the hydraulic system is completly dry the pistons will move freely, There are small orfices in the valve body that equalize. so when you move the lever ahead a little the raising stops. If one of these plug up as soon as you move the lever forward a little it will go to the fully raised position'.The pistons extend to raise. There is also a relief valve built in, if it gets plugged it will blow the seal out of the pump
