I see a B450 highcrop advertised at auction as 1 of 6 built. I have seen one or two in Louisana, but I assumed they were raised up by a dealer. Any ideas?

Buddy,

Some people think of a Farmall rowcrop as a high clear or highcrop tractor vs a utility of standard type. This may be what the ad is referring to. The Farmall B-450 was not made in a high clear version with drop housings. In the USA the Farmall B-450 was only sold in the Memphis district, mainly Mississippi Delta, Arkansas Delta, and Louisiana Delta and was sold in Texas. A Farmall B-450 could be made into a Farmall B-450 high clear by using the rear axle housings, axles, and drop housings and front axle from a MV, Super MV, F400HC, F450HC, or F560HC if they had a donor tractor for the parts or bought a lot of parts from the parts department. Except for the transmission top and IPTO related parts, most rear end parts from the mentioned tractors will fit a Farmall B-450.

Don't know the difference between 450 and B450, but according to Guy's IH data book, there were 55 high clearance 450s built

I think the B means it was made in England -- I have no info on those.
