I replaced my turbo on my 706 last summer and never checked the psi on the intake. I put a guage on it today and it only puts out 1 1/2 to 2 lb psi at 2000 rpms with a load. Is this enough pressure to do any good? Checked my 1206 and it runs about 5 1/2 to 6 lb psi at 2000 rpms about 1/2 load. The old turbo put out about 4 lb psi at 2000 rpms on the 706. Do I need a different turbo on it? The one I replaced it with is a airearch TO4B90. The old one was a Garrett.

I think you have to big of turbo .What did the turbo come off of ?A to4b sounds like it came off a 1066 or so.A garret is the same as a airresearch. My 1206 makes 15or better lbs.boost.I have two 560 one with a M&W kit off a 706 and the other is a M&W for a 560.TO4s have many diferent exhaust houseings and turbine wheels sizes same with the air side.I custom built mine used the smallest exhaust wheel with a .54 housing and a small compresser wheel and houseing it will do over 10#if you turn the fuel to it allot more.

We used TO4B80 turbo from a Allis-chalmers 7000 and these seem to work excellent. Not sure what the boost psi is though.
