Paul, I don't know what the bidders think they're buying, but they obviously don't have the benefit of being exposed to some of the same information that we who live and breathe these old Farmalls have, and those of us who frequent this site. It takes a grossly uninformed person to be so eager to pay such a ridiculous price for the same book they could get free for the asking by just calling O.E.M., and requesting a catalog. Its called paying the price of ignorance, and I'm sure we've all found ourselves in that predicament from time to time.

I bet its some one wanting to buy some tractor stuff for some one else. My mother has gone into this buy Kelly some Farmall stuff off ebay craze for the last year. Every time she comes over I get a new toy Farmall or a clock, Key chain ect.
Hmm I better check to see that she is not bidding on this thing.

Paul: And to think we get guys on here almost daily screaming about the off shore tractor buyers. I'll bet there is more people and more dollar value scamed every day right within North America with on line auctions than any cheque cashing scheme. Surely everyone knows by the time they reach 2nd grade you never get your cheque book out when your selling.

There was a good one on the YT auction just yesterday. Set of two way plows for a Farmall A, being sold separately as a left and a right hand plow for an A. I don't know who is getting the plow lift, and who has to reach back and lift the plow out of ground with his bare hands. He had $200. bids on each and stating reserve not yet met. I see the left had plow is gone today. I'm not sure whether he thought the buyers at YT were that stupid, or did he just want to advertize his own stupidity.

Well, it takes a lot of nerve to try to pull that one off! I looked at the bid history too - now that is kinda strange as well - seems dominomama bid against herself 5 times ----- hhhhhmmmmm m I would be wondering about that auction big time!

So, I have to ask, where can I get the free download? Also, the five bids by do....are because the bid placed-and still top bid, as yet unknown, is more than do.... has bid. I have bid on something I want and get a response that I have been outbid. So, at times, I have rebid within seconds also. (**^$@# pop up ads, they frustrate me, anyway...What all would this publication include and where can I go to get a freebie. Thanks

They have alot of parts no one else has. Like ribber gromets. The right type and style wireing.
I ordered a battery box and Brake shaft ( the one that goes through the Trans case) from them this year.
They have a lic from IH so there stuff is concidered OEM parts.

It appears that people are being suckered by the wording of the add. I am guessing people think that this is some sort of master parts book for all tractors from that era.

There is a sucker born every minute. Maybe I should load the copier and go into business.

OTOH, price will probably deflate when 50 catalogs hit eBay in the next few days.

I wonder how much my original mint 1999 catalog is worth? No greasy thumb prints, either.
